Comedy Weekend with Barnes and Miner is coming up October 2nd (7PM) and 3rd (3PM) at the Elgin Opera House. Elgin Ministerial Association is sponsoring this humorous family event that is sure to get your chuckler a chucklin’. Tickets are $10 each, with special rates of $8 for seniors 60 and over and $35 for a family of 4 or more (Parents and their kids). Amy and Jerry have made several TV appearances and are known for drawing laughs without polluting the airwaves with unhelpful subject matter. See Pastor Mark for tickets.

WORK THAT NEEDS DONE AROUND CLC General: · Clean all light covers · Clean furnace filters · Wash windows · Paint entryway · Fix remaining humps in floor (sanctuary & hall) · Paint sanctuary, halls, and other interior · Limb trees · Paint upstairs door & the trim around doors & new windows · Scrape and reseal exterior where paint is peeling & touch up · Replace rotten railroad ties around flowerbed · Upstairs (In prep. for building): · Fill in all floor openings with 3/8” plywood · Build stem wall up to floor level on east side of Youth Ctr. · Move scaffolding to a shed or other storage location · Mount video projector & run cables to sound booth
